  • Learn how Flexe fosters social connection, employee recognition, and business momentum

Every week, there are headlines about global supply chain failures. As part of a $1.6T industry, Flexe exists to solve those tough problems for enterprise retailers and brands. We announced our Series C funding round in 2020, our Series D in 2022, and continue to break new ground, bringing programmatic logistics to the market. In fact, six of the ten largest retailers and brands use Flexe Logistics Programs.

Flexe employs hundreds of industry experts. But, depending on the team, it’s okay if a candidate doesn’t have a supply chain and logistics background. Our onboarding process helps new hires ramp up quickly.

Flexe has employees across multiple states, so most people work remotely. Sometimes we want employees to attend annual, in-person summits or visit our warehouse partners and customers onsite. We also have a Seattle office where employees have the option to work during the week.

Flexe has core working hours between 8am and 3pm Pacific time. Most employees work Monday through Friday and cover the core hours. But that schedule is flexible depending on time zones. That’s something our employees set with their managers and teams.

Managers will develop and share a 30/60/90-day onboarding plan on an employee’s first day. This plan includes recorded trainings, helpful links, and people to virtually meet. Additionally, our HR and IT teams are there to help every step of the way.

Flexe creates space to stay connected both virtually and in person. Every Monday, we have an all-hands standup where we meet the week’s new hires and get recent business updates. We also have more robust company syncs once a quarter to celebrate employees’ work and catch up on the state of our business. We have optional team coffee chats and game nights. And in places where we have hubs of remote employees (Atlanta, Chicago, San Francisco, and Seattle, to name a few), groups get together for social activities like happy hours, ball games, and volunteering. Special-interest Slack channels like #trivia, #flexe-karaoke, #sustainable-bookclub also help employees build relationships.

Flexe employees founded Women at Flexe, Parents at Flexe, Black at Flexe, AAPI at Flexe, LGBTQIA+, Veterans, and Disabilities. These groups have open meetings, slack channels, and other opportunities to connect. If there is a need for an employee resource group that doesn’t exist, we encourage employees to collaborate and start one.

During team meetings and company all-hands, leadership regularly recognizes employees for their outstanding work. An example of this is our “Livin’ It” award. Once a quarter, we celebrate six employees for living our values in exceptional ways. We also have internal tools where employees give colleagues shoutouts and feedback outside of meetings. And every six months, we host review cycles to provide feedback, celebrate milestones, and re-evaluate compensation.

Most roles have two to four steps depending on the team, department, and role. Expect an informational screening with a recruiter, an interview with the hiring manager, a skills assessment, and a final interview loop with three to four people on the team. We conduct all interviews over Zoom.
